Cochise County Food Network Veterans Honored at Veteran Servant Leader Award Ceremony.
The Cochise County Food Network (CCFN) is proud to recognize three outstanding community leaders and veterans who were honored at the 4th Veteran Servant Leader Award Ceremony hosted by Congressman Juan Ciscomani in Tucson.
Sarah Pacheco of Peach’s Pantry, Becky Phifer of Dragonfly Community Alliance (Mission in the Valley), and Tim Kirk of Warrior Healing Center were recognized alongside 29 other veterans for their continued service and leadership within Southern Arizona communities.
The annual ceremony celebrates veterans who continue to make a lasting impact after their military service through volunteerism, leadership, advocacy, and community support. For the Cochise County Food Network, these three veterans represent the heart of servant leadership by dedicating countless hours to supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity across Cochise County.
Sarah Pacheco has been instrumental in strengthening food access efforts through Peach’s Pantry, helping children to weekly food assistance and community resources. Becky Phifer continues to support rural and underserved populations through the Dragonfly Community Alliance and Mission in the Valley, creating compassionate pathways to food and support services. Tim Kirk, through the Warrior Healing Center, has remained committed to serving veterans and families while supporting community outreach initiatives throughout the region.

“These remarkable individuals continue to serve long after their military careers have ended,” said representatives from the Cochise County Food Network. “Their compassion, dedication, and leadership embody the true meaning of servant leadership and community care.”
The Cochise County Food Network works collaboratively with food pantries, community organizations, and local partners throughout Cochise County to address food insecurity and strengthen support systems for residents in need.
CCFN extends heartfelt congratulations to Sarah Pacheco, Becky Phifer, and Tim Kirk for this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for their continued commitment to serving Cochise County communities.
